The Power of Professional Editing!

The power of printed words is only as good as the choice of words, their professionalism, and their context. I am all about bringing your work to the highest level of professionalism, accuracy, publication design and layout. I have worked for Fortune 500 companies and for consultants who work for those companies. I have edited books for novelists, scientists, and educators. Since 1987, I have edited several thousand documents and manuals including a professional scientific dictionary and a best seller. I am honest and trustworthy as indicated by my reviews below.

The field has changed since I began in 1987. I began working for a scientific publisher. A 40 Mb hard drive cost $600! My little 9.5 inch Mac Plus screen and retyping an author's manuscript into the computer seem like pre-historic relics of the dinosaur age. I still have my transcription machine, but mp3's dominate that business now.

Most authors, especially first time authors, fear rejection and criticism. Yet, criticism is exactly what propels an author into their finest writing. A good editor is a good critic, but with the attitude and objective of making the author the best he/she can be. I love working with my writers! Each author has a unique style that needs preserving, but word choice and accuracy demand critical reading and discussion. My red pen begins to look really good to an author as their work gets fine-tuned and crafted into an effective and successful art form.

Please note that our pricing is is generous to you. I am married, have four children, and understand the pressures on "starving artists."
